Our new service is here!

LibreDNS: a public encrypted DNS service, that people can use to maintain secrecy of their dns traffic and bypass censorship. We already support "DNS over HTTPS" () and DNS over TLS.

@libreops 25: Unknown lvalue 'DNSOverTLS' in section 'Resolve' systemd 237-3

@lioh what distribution are you in? this seems like an old systemd version with no DNSoverTLS support.

We plan to add some documentation for alternative DNS clients, other than systemd.

@comzeradd this one is for our Faircomputer setup, which is based on LinuxMint (Ubuntu 18.04). I think I am going to stick with unbound.

@lioh Unbound supports DNS-over-TLS, since v1.7.3.

But it has a more complex configuration than systemd.

@comzeradd yes, I know how to configure it, thanks. Great Project!

@libreops

this should work for unbound.conf :
".....
forward-zone:
name: "."
forward-tls-upstream: yes
forward-addr: 116.203.115.192@853 # libredns.gr
....
"
